Refund and cancellation policy

What you are buying

Every tool on Pixgrain is free. There is exactly one paid item: the finished passport photo, a one-off purchase of €6. It buys a digital photo sized for the online application and a printable 6 × 4 inch sheet, both generated on your own device and downloaded straight from your browser.

It is a single payment. There is no account, no subscription and no recurring charge, so there is nothing to cancel later and nothing that can renew without you noticing.

Who you are buying from

The seller of record is Creem, not Pixgrain directly. That is the arrangement that lets a one-person site charge VAT correctly in every country its customers live in. Your payment, your receipt and any refund are handled by Creem; Alexandr Stoianov operates the site itself.

Your right to cancel a digital purchase

Consumers in the EU and the UK normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once delivery has begun, provided you gave express consent to begin and acknowledged that consenting ends the right. That consent is taken at checkout, before payment.

In practice: your files are generated the moment the purchase completes, so delivery begins immediately and the fourteen-day withdrawal right does not survive it. This is stated here, and at checkout, rather than discovered afterwards.

Why there is a free preview instead of a trial

Before paying you see the finished geometry — crop, head height, eye line and background — at preview size. The paid step changes nothing about the composition; it removes the watermark and produces the file at full resolution. You are never asked to pay to find out what you are getting.

The checker is also free and runs before any purchase, so a photo that cannot pass can be identified without spending anything.

When a purchase is refunded

  • the download failed or the files never arrived, and a second attempt did not fix it;
  • the delivered files do not match what this site says it produces — wrong dimensions, wrong resolution, or a watermark still present;
  • you were charged more than once for the same purchase;
  • the purchase was not made by you.

In each of these the refund is the full amount. Ask within a reasonable time of noticing, and expect it back on the original payment method — the timing after that is the payment provider’s and is usually a few working days.

When it is not

  • you changed your mind after the files were delivered — see the withdrawal section above;
  • the passport office, embassy or visa centre rejected your application. This site produces a photo to the published specification and says plainly on every page that acceptance cannot be guaranteed: the decision belongs to the authority, and rejections commonly turn on expression, lighting, glare or hair, none of which a crop can correct;
  • the source photograph was unsuitable — eyes closed, heavy shadow, a patterned background — and the output reflects that faithfully. The checker flags what it can before you pay.

None of this displaces a legal right you have. Where consumer law in your country gives you a remedy this policy does not, the law wins.

How to ask

Write to sader3191@gmail.com or use the contact page, quoting the order reference from your receipt. You can also raise it directly with Creem, whose details are on that receipt. A request sent here is answered by a person, normally within a few days.

Because your photograph never leaves your device, it is not attached to the order and cannot be examined to settle a dispute. Describe the problem instead, and keep the files you received.
